You will need to either sign in and purchase a Logos subscription or choose to install the free Logos desktop app in step 1 below. Follow the steps below to install Logos Bible Software for macOS.

Step 1 - Download LogosSetup

Download the LogosMac.dmg file to install Logos Bible Software from here. Ensure you are logged in to logos.com with the account you used to purchase Logos.

Note: If after clicking the link you see two options, Download (M-series) and Download (Intel), click the  icon in the top left corner of the screen, and select About this Mac. If you see an M-series chip (e.g., Apple M1), download the M-series version of Logos. If you see an Intel processor, download the Intel version of Logos.

Step 2 - Install Logos

  1. Open the downloaded LogosMac.dmg file from the Downloads folder (or wherever you saved the file).
  2. Drag and drop the Logos application file to the Applications folder.

  3. Open Logos from the Applications folder.

Step 3 - Sign in to your Account

Sign in with your Logos.com email and password. Signing in for the first time may take a while. Please do not interrupt the process.

Step 4 - Download and Index

After you login, Logos will ask you to download your Library. There are a number of different download options available from the dropdown. We recommend choosing Full Download for the optimal experience. Then click Continue.

Logos will install and download your library. The download process may take a while. Please do not interrupt the process.

Get started while Logos downloads and indexes

Note: Once the download process is finished, it will index what has been downloaded. The whole process may take a number of hours depending on the Library and computer specifications.

Once the download has completed, the program will open to your Dashboard, and you will be able to start using Logos. 

Note: Even though you can start using the software at this point, it might still be indexing which may impact performance.
