When studying a biblical topic, it can often be useful to explore the underlying original language and do this is in a consistent layout that works for you. The Get Started Tool provides exactly this to get you into your study quickly and easily. It offers a consistent way to start from the topic, access the associated underlying original language words, study these words in original language texts, consult lexicons and take notes on what you find. From the Get Started Tool, click Original language and enter a term in the original language or in transliterated form.
In the top left pane, the Factbook is open to the lemma you're studying and below that is a Bible Word Study Guide opened to the same lemma. These panels are linked so they stay in sync. This provides a platform to start exploring some of the detail around this particular word.
In the center, at the top, are your three highest prioritized lexicons with articles on the entered lemma. These lexicons, are linked together in a second linkset.
Below these are your two (or three) highest prioritized relevant Bibles
- Your highest prioritized original language Bible open with an inline search for the lemma.
- If the original language is Hebrew, then your highest prioritized Septuagint text is opened as well
- Your highest prioritized Bible in the language of the user interface you are using
These are linked together in a third linkset, providing a range of different perspectives into the text.
On the right you'll find the help file open an entry on your particular layout. When you're done reading it, close the panel to increase the screen real estate available for the layout's tools.
