Logos makes it easy to read through books in your library or explore a topic by creating systematic plans you can tailor to your pace and schedule. Customize an existing Reading Plan or create your own using Passage Lists or Clippings documents. You can also share a plan with your Faithlife Group or export it to your calendar application. Your Reading Plans automatically sync and track your progress across your desktop, web, and mobile platforms.

Create a Reading Plan
1. Create a new plan
Logos gives you three options for starting a new reading plan.
Click the Documents icon and click New to expand the menu. Select Reading Plan.
OR
From the Home screen click the plus icon on the right side of the Dashboard and select Reading Plan. Check a box next to a plan that you want to start and click Add, or click Start a new reading plan to open the Reading Plan menu.
OR
Open your Library and find the downloaded resource you want to read. Right-click the title and select Start reading plan. Logos opens a new customizable Reading Plan document based on your selected resource.
2. Select your plan
Logos displays three types of reading plans for you to choose from.
Choose a predefined Reading Plan
Selecting this option opens a menu of Bible reading plans pre-arranged by the range of Scripture covered or topics addressed.
Generate a Reading Plan
This option is designed to create a reading plan for any resource in your library. The default plan is reading your preferred Bible in one year. However, you can click the hyperlinked fields to select a resource from your library and set your schedule. (See more about customizing your plan below.)
Custom Reading Plan
Choose this option to create a reading plan using multiple resources or a variety of selected passages.
3. Customize your plan
Choose a predefined Reading Plan or Generate a Reading Plan
When you Choose a predefined Reading Plan or Generate a Reading Plan, Logos opens a Reading Plan document that can be tailored to your preferences.
Note: Available options vary depending on the resource you select for your Reading Plan.
Click the following phrases to customize your plan:

[Predefined Reading Plan name] (predefined plans only) - Click to select a different predefined Reading Plan. All predefined plans are also listed below along with a brief description.

All Passages - Click to select a custom range, such as the Poetic Books or enter a custom reference range.

Default - Logos divides the selected range into equal lengths. Click to select Chapter or Pericope divisions.

[Preferred Bible] - Logos generates reading plans using your preferred Bible. Click the version to select a different resource.
Note: Selecting a resource other than the Bible alters other available options for the reading plan.

every day - Click to select a different frequency. Logos allows you to select at your own pace (no time table), every weekday (Monday-Friday), or every…[Check boxes next to the days you want to read].

today - Logos defaults your reading plan to start today. Click the link to expand the calendar and select the day you want to start your Reading Plan.

in one year - Reading plans default to a year long. Click the link to change the length of time. Logos gives you additional options for six months or enter a custom number of weeks, sessions (days), verses, or a custom date.

by yourself - Selecting this option allows you to include another Faithlife group in your reading plan. Click the group you want to include. Learn more about Faithlife Groups.
Click Start to begin your reading plan. Click Cancel to return to the previous menu and select a new reading plan.
Custom Reading Plan
Selecting Custom Reading Plan opens a menu to add individually selected passages from one or more resources to your Reading Plan. Click Untitled Reading Plan to enter a name for your Reading Plan.
To add a session, use the following hyperlinks:

today - Logos defaults the first reading session to today. Click to select a different starting date.

Drop a shortcut here - Drag the tab from an open resource to the indicated area. Logos adds the active section (e.g. Bible reference, page, journal article, or dictionary entry). You can also highlight a passage and drag the highlighted section to this area.

Choose an open resource - Select a suggested passage/section from your open resources. Suggested passages are based on the active reference in the reference window. Scroll to a different reference/page number in the open resource to cue different options.

Type a reference - Enter a passage you want to add to your Reading Plan.
When you have entered the passage(s)/section(s) you want included in the session, click Add session. Repeat these steps for each additional session.
Click Add in the upper left corner of the document to quickly add another Reading Plan, Passage List, or Clippings document to your new Reading Plan.
When your Reading Plan is complete, click Done.
4. Start reading
When you click Start, Logos adds a card to your Home page. Click the card to open the Reading Plan. Logos displays a green ribbon heading with the scheduled date for the reading and the passage or topic. (Clicking the passage or topic in the heading opens the Reading Plan document.)
Note: If you don’t see these ribbons, make sure the Visual filter is active. Click the Visual filter icon and check the box next to Reading Plans.
If your reading contains multiple sections, Logos places additional green ribbon markers at the end of each section. Click the passage link to navigate to the next section in the reading.
At the end of the scheduled session, Logos places an amber ribbon marker. Click Mark done to complete the session. Logos displays the next scheduled reading. The card on the Home screen updates with a green checkmark and You’ve completed your reading for today.
If you fall behind on a Reading Plan, Logos indicates this with a small red box labeled Behind on the card. Clicking Catch me up marks all the missed reading as Done and allows you to pick up the next scheduled reading.
You can adjust the date on your Reading Plan without skipping readings by navigating to Calendar view (see below). Right-click the date you want to resume your reading and select Adjust plan from here.

View a Reading Plan
To view a Reading Plan, click the Documents icon. In the Filter column, select Reading Plan to view all your Reading Plan documents. Click the plan name to open it.
When you select the current reading session, a green ribbon marks the beginning of the reading. If your reading contains multiple sections, an additional green ribbon appears at the end of the section; click the passage link to navigate to the next section.
Mark the reading as done by checking the box in the Reading Plan document (Mark As Read) or by clicking Mark done in the amber ribbon at the end of the selected reading.
Overview
Clicking Overview displays the first or current reading. If you are doing this Reading Plan with a group, Logos displays posting options along with posts related to the current reading.
Calendar
Clicking Calendar displays a calendar with each reading on a corresponding day. Click any passage to navigate to that reading.
Note: The green and amber ribbon headings do not display when readings are selected out of order.
List
Clicking List displays all the passages in your Reading Plan. Click a passage to navigate to that reading.
Note: The green and amber ribbon headings do not display when readings are selected out of order.
Edit a Reading Plan
Open a Reading Plan from the Documents menu, and select Edit.
Make the desired changes to your plan, and click Done.
Note: Editing a Reading Plan starts it over from the beginning.
When you edit a Custom Reading Plan, you can remove individual readings by hovering over the reading and clicking X to Remove reading. Click Done when you are finished editing.
Share a Reading Plan
You can share your Reading Plan with any Logos user or with a Faithlife Group of which you are a member. Learn more about sharing documents.
Share publicly with any Logos user
To share your Reading Plan with any Logos user, open the Documents menu, select the entry row for your Reading Plan (not the linked title), and click Share. Under the Public tab, click the slider to Yes for Make document public. Click Copy to copy a link to the document that can be shared with others or embedded in another application.
Share with your Faithlife Group
To share your Reading Plan with your Faithlife Group, open the Documents menu, select the entry row for your Reading Plan (not the linked title), and click Share. Click the Group tab, expand the dropdown menu, and select the group name you want to share with. Click Done. Logos uploads your Reading Plan to your group. Group members join your plan by clicking Connect in the Group Readings section.

Export a Reading Plan
Export to Outlook/Calendar
Logos allows you to add your Reading Plan to a personal calendar. With the Reading Plan open, select the export dropdown.

Calendar - Choose the local calendar your Reading Plan will be exported to.

Start/End time - Choose the start and end times for each session.

Reminder (optional) - Set an optional reminder _ minutes previous.
Click Export. Logos downloads the plan for easy import into your calendar software.
Note: The export to Outlook/Calendar feature is currently under repair and is not operational in Logos 10.
Other Print/Export options
Click the Panel menu icon and select Print/Export. Logos opens a dialogue menu of printing and exporting options. You can print your Reading Plan or export it for use in another application such as Microsoft Word.
Note: Logos prints/exports the current view (Overview/List or Calendar). Select your desired view before choosing the Print/Export option.
Delete a Reading Plan
You can delete a Reading Plan from the Documents menu. Right-click the Reading Plan and select Delete.
If you delete a Reading Plan by mistake, you can recover it at documents.logos.com. Expand the dropdown menu marked Available and select Deleted. Click the Reading Plan you want to restore and click the Undelete button.
