After adding resources to your library you may witness Logos indicating it is downloading resources but never seems to complete the process. This is indicated either in the library, or the preview panel of the resource, with the message "downloading" and with a spinning dotted progress wheel.
Using the following steps may resolve the problem
Solution 1: Verify your Download Hours
The computer and Logos must both running and awake during the chosen update hours for new updates to install properly. Check Tools > Program Settings > Internet to see what your update hours are set to. If Logos is not running during the chosen hours then update will not download. Unless one is aware of the expected behavior that goes with this setting it is best to have the download hours set to Midnight to Midnight.
Solution 2: Rebuild the DownloadManager
Windows
- Quit Logos.
- Press Window key + R.
- Type %localappdata% and press Go.
- Open the Logos folder.
- Open the Data folder and folder inside.
- Delete the folders named DownloadManager and UpdateManager.
- Open the ResourceManager folder.
- Delete the Downloaded folder.
- Start Logos with logging enabled1.
macOS
- Quit Logos.
- Open a Finder window.
- Press CMD+Shift+G on your keyboard.
- Type ~/library/application support/Logos4
- Click Go.
- Open the Data folder and folder inside.
- Delete the folders named DownloadManager and UpdateManager.
- Open the ResourceManager folder.
- Delete the Downloaded folder.
- Start Logos with logging enabled1.
