Your privacy matters. Here's a plain-language summary of how Logos handles your personal information, what choices you have, and how to reach us with questions.

For the complete legal text, see the full Logos Privacy Policy.

What information Logos collects

Logos collects information in three main ways.

  • Information you give us directly. When you create an account, we ask for your name, email address, and password. If you make a purchase, we also collect billing and payment details. You can add more information to your profile—like your denominational affiliation or job title—but it isn't required.

  • Information we collect automatically. When you use Logos, we collect technical data like your IP address, browser type, and operating system. We also track how you use the app—which features you open, which books and resources you access, and how long you spend in them. We use tools like Google Analytics and Amplitude for this.

  • Information from other sources. Occasionally, Logos receives demographic or interest data from third-party partners. This helps us personalize your experience and improve our marketing.

Why Logos uses your information

Logos uses your data to:

  • Run and improve the products you use

  • Personalize your experience and recommendations

  • Communicate with you about your account, purchases, and new features

  • Detect fraud and keep your account secure

  • Measure how well our marketing and content are working

Who Logos shares your information with

Logos doesn't sell your data. But we do share it in specific circumstances:

  • Service providers: Companies that help us operate (like payment processors, email services, and analytics tools) receive the data they need to do their job. They're required to protect it.

  • Faithlife Groups you join: When you join a church or community group, that group's administrators can see the profile information you've made visible.

  • Legal requests: If required by law or court order, Logos may disclose information about you.

  • Business changes: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data would likely transfer to the new company under this same privacy policy.

Your choices

You're in control of a lot of this. Here's what you can do:

  • Manage your profile visibility: Head to Faithlife Profile Settings to control who can see your information.

  • Opt out of marketing emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email. You'll still receive account-related messages.

  • Limit mobile data collection: Your device's operating system lets you control whether Logos can access your location, photos, or other stored data.

  • Adjust cookies: You can configure your browser to reject cookies, though some Logosfeatures may not work as expected. See the Cookie Policy for details.

  • Close your account: Contact Customer Service if you'd like to close your account. Note that some data may be retained for legal or business reasons even after account closure.

Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)

If you're located in the European Union or California, you have additional rights, including the ability to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can also ask us to stop processing your data or to transfer it to another service.

For California-specific information, see the Logos Privacy Notice for California Residents.
