The Bible Engagement Analytics Dashboard gives institutional admins a data-driven view of how their community is using Logos. If you lead a seminary, Bible college, or other academic institution, the dashboard helps you see how actively your students and faculty are engaging with Scripture and their Logos resources—so you can celebrate what's working and address what isn't.
Note
Note: The dashboard is currently available to academic institutions only. Support for churches and organizations is coming in a future release.
Log in to your institution's admin portal. Select Dashboard from the left sidebar. The dashboard appears automatically for any admin on the account.
The dashboard is organized into three areas: a summary of session activity, a breakdown of how your community is studying, and a look at what they're reading. Here's what each section contains and how to read it.
All metrics reflect a rolling 30-day period compared to the prior 30 days. Each metric card shows the current value alongside a percentage change—green for an increase, red for a decrease.
A few things to keep in mind before reading your data:
-
Analytics won't appear until your group has at least 30 days of usage data across at least 5 members.
-
If your institution has fewer than 5 active members, you'll see a partial view with three metrics only: Active Members, Daily Sessions, and Total Sessions. The full dashboard unlocks automatically once you reach 5 active members.
This threshold exists to protect data integrity—the numbers simply aren't meaningful at very small group sizes.
At the top of the dashboard, you'll see three summary metrics:
|
Metric |
What it shows |
|
Active Members |
Unique group members who used Logos at least once in the past 30 days |
|
Daily Sessions |
Average number of Logos sessions per day across all group members |
|
Sessions |
Total Logos sessions in the 30-day window, shown with a daily trend line |
This section shows how your community is engaging with Scripture and Logos tools.
|
Metric |
What it shows |
|
Bible Chapters Read |
Total Bible chapters opened across all group members. The dashboard also converts this to an approximate verse count. |
|
Searches |
Total searches performed by the group. Broken down by % powered by AI (using features like Smart Search) and % in the Bible. These percentages may not add up to 100%—a search can be both, neither, or just one. |
|
Study Assistant Users |
Number of unique users who used Study Assistant, plus total interactions (conversation opens and messages sent) |
|
Days in Scripture |
Total days members opened a Bible in Logos. If 10 members each read on 5 separate days, that's 50 Days in Scripture. The dashboard also shows average days per reader. |
|
Book Views |
Total times a non-Bible Logos resource was viewed |
Note
A note on Days in Scripture: This metric measures consistency, not just volume. It counts each day a member opens a Bible—so a group of daily readers will score much higher than one with the same total reading time concentrated in fewer sessions.
All analytics are aggregate and anonymous. Admins can see group-level trends but not what any individual member is doing.
This section shows the specific content your community is engaging with.
|
Metric |
What it shows |
|
Books of the Bible |
The 3 most-read books of the Bible across your group (e.g., Psalms, Genesis, Matthew) |
|
Bible Chapters |
The 3 most-read specific chapters (e.g., Psalm 23, Genesis 1, John 3) |
|
Books |
The 3 most-viewed non-Bible resources, shown with cover art |
Admins at academic institutions receive a monthly email summarizing the previous month's engagement data. Digests go out on the first Tuesday on or after the 3rd of each month, starting June 9, 2026.
Low numbers aren't a verdict—they're a starting point. Here are three practical ways to help your community engage more:
-
Launch a shared reading plan. A collective goal drives usage. You can create a reading schedule for a specific book in your library and share it with your group. Learn how to create and share Reading Plans →
-
Re-send the license claim email. Sometimes low engagement just means users haven't finished setup. Re-sending the invitation ensures everyone has claimed their seat and downloaded the app. Learn how to manage licenses →
-
Assign specific tasks. Incorporate Logos directly into your coursework—ask students to run a specific search or read a primary source within the app. Learn how to use Bible Search effectively →
-
Why does the dashboard only show 30 days of data? The rolling 30-day window keeps the data current and actionable. Expanded date ranges—including semester views—are in development.
-
Can I export this data? CSV export is on the roadmap. For now, the dashboard gives you the key trends at a glance.
-
Why am I seeing a partial view? You'll see limited data until your group has 5 or more active members. This is intentional—the full dashboard unlocks automatically once you hit that threshold.
-
Can inactive members affect the numbers? Admins can remove inactive members from analytics while keeping the audit trail intact for permanent licenses.
