The simplest way to capture and cite information in Logos is by copying and pasting the text directly into its destination, like a word processing document.
-
Select some text from a resource. Copy the text by using your keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C in Windows or Cmd+C in macOS) or by clicking Copy in the Selection Menu that appears.
-
Paste it into the destination. Logos automatically includes the citation anytime you copy and paste a selection into another application (or even into another location in Logos, such as a note).
You can also create a bibliography from within Logos.
When your resource or feature does not include page numbers, you can still export the information and record the citation.
-
Open the desired resource or feature.
-
Click the More Actions Menu icon
and select Print/Export.
-
Your exported information will automatically include a date and timestamp.
Depending on the resource or feature, different print and export options will be available. Learn more about printing and exporting options here.
You can adjust how Logos formats your citation from the Program Settings.
-
Click the Toolbar's More Actions Menu icon
and select Program Settings.
-
Scroll down to Citation Style.
-
Select your preferred citation style from the Citation Style dropdown menu.
-
You can also control whether the citations include hyperlinks and footnotes.
