The Logos Mobile app provides the ability to issue notifications - to remind you about reading plans, to point out promotional offers and more. You can choose whether or not to enable these in the settings section of the app.
Skip ahead to:
First Time Setup
The first time you enable notifications, you will see a splash screen outlining what these notifications do and asking your permission to enable them.
This first-time process is triggered by enabling either reading plan notifications or enabling promotional reminders or opening the Message Center for the first time.
Reading Reminders
To enable reading reminders, open the Settings menu from the More Action menu and select the Reading Reminder option.
This will give you the option to enable / disable these reminders.
If you allow notifications then you will be able to set the time you would like a reminder. This will then show in the main settings screen and you can come back to the reminder panel to change the time, or disable reminders, as you wish.
Once set, the notification will appear in your normal device notifications area - not within the app itself. The extra format for these notifications will depend on how you have notifications configured.
Promotional Notifications
To enable promotional notifications, open the Settings menu from the More Action menu and select the Enable promotional notifications option.
Once you have enabled them, two things will happen when notifications are pushed to your device:
- The dashboard icon
in the main menu of the app will display a red dot
- The bell on the top-left corner of the dashboard will display a red dot and a count of unread notifications
Message Center
You can see the content of notifications in the Message Center which you can open by tapping the bell icon at the top left of the dashboard. Tap a message to open a browser to see more information about it.
