Whether you're trying to update Logos to the latest version of the software, or wondering where a recently purchased resource is, this article will show you how to make sure Logos and the library are up to date.
Make sure Logos is up to date
To the left of the logo click Logos > About Logos Bible Software.
- The color indicator next to "Software" will be green if Logos is up to date; red if it is not up to date.
If Logos is not up to date, click here download and install an update to Logos.
In the top-right corner of the toolbar click the toolbar menu (three vertical dots) or the question mark icon (Logos 7).
Click About Logos Bible Software

Make sure the Library is up to date
- Open Logos.
- Type update resources into the bar at the top of the window.
Logos 8 - Use the single bar to the left of the Go button.
Logos 7 - This will say the word Command in it.
- Click Update resources below the word Tools that appears.
- Logos will look for update to resources (books and other library files) in your library, and download them automatically.
