Vertical Toolbar
Note: Available in packages Starter and above.
In addition to the updated design, the main app toolbar has been moved from the top of the screen to the left side of the app. With the toolbar on the left, you can access the Go box by clicking the Logos icon on the upper left.
You can move it back to the top from Program Settings if you prefer.
New Search Syntax
Logos 10 introduces a new, simplified query syntax to Search. This new syntax maintains all the power of the existing syntax, but without the need for angle brackets, tildes, and curly braces. Where your search queries used to look like:
{Label Miracle WHERE Agent ~ <Person God> AND Beneficiary ~ <Person Magi>}
The new format simplifies that to:
miracle:(agent:God AND beneficiary:Magi)
Additionally, four search operators have been simplified:
-
ANDNOT
becomesNOT
-
ANDEQUALS
becomesEQUALS
-
NOTEQUALS
becomesNOT EQUALS
-
WITHIN
becomesIN
Logos 9 search syntax will be automatically converted to the new syntax, with a “Did you mean?” prompt, allowing you to see and run the new syntax with just one extra click. All of your existing shortcuts, favorites, and visual filters will also be converted to the new syntax, while continuing to sync correctly with Logos 9.

New Search Types
Logos 10 introduces several new search types: All Search, Books Search, Factbook Search, Docs Search, Maps Search, Factbook Tags Search, and Bookstore Search.
- All Search is similar to the Everything search found in previous versions of Logos. It searches all books and tools, returning many results in new Search cards.
- Books Search replaces, though it is not exactly equivalent to, the previous Basic search capability. Use a Books search to find words or phrases in your entire Logos library, or in particular fields within specific tools or sets of resources.
- Factbook Search returns Factbook articles matching your search term.
- Docs Search looks within all of the documents you've created in addition to Canvas files and Notes.
- Maps Search provides links to any map in the Atlas or in your downloaded resources.
- Factbook Tags Search shows all of the resources in your Library containing a Factbook tag matching your search term.
- Bookstore Search shows where a term appears in unowned resources in the Logos catalog.
Print Library Catalog
Note: Available in packages Gold and above.
The Print Library Catalog in Logos 10 is a special section of your Logos Library exclusively for books you own in print (whether you own the Logos version or not). This brings the power of Search to your print library by pointing you to the page numbers for your query results.
To quickly add books to your Print Library Catalog, simply open the new ISBN scanner tool in the Logos mobile app.

Auto Translate
Note: Available in packages Gold and above.
The Logos store hosts resources in many different languages. Up until now, key texts in one language have often been unavailable in another. Logos 10 introduces the ability to auto-translate the text of your resources via third-party services using the new right-hand sidebar (also available on the web app).

Church History in the Factbook

The Factbook now features pages on church history. As with all Factbook pages, church history entries provide overview and summary information with the ability to drill down into more details found in your Logos resources. Now, you can quickly spot connections between people, times, places, events, documents, and ideas.

Popular Quotations
Note: Available in packages Silver and above.
As you prepare your sermons, you may want to bring in powerful, elegant, and memorable quotations from the church’s best and most well-known thinkers and writers.
