The Logos Bible apps are "Cloud-based" applications, meaning they stream content—like Bibles, commentaries and search results—from the internet. When away from wifi or internet access, it is still possible to use some features or read "offline" resources. Follow the steps below, with an active internet connection, to prepare a resource for offline reading.

Note: Resources must be owned to be downloaded. You can buy resources for Faithlife apps at Logos.com, Verbum.com, or ebooks.faithllife.com. For this tutorial, we're using the Logos Bible app, but these principles also apply to the Faithlife Study Bible app, Verbum app, and Vyrso app.

Downloading a Resource

To begin, make sure you have an active internet connection, then open the Logos Bible app. From here, you have three options for how to proceed.

Download from the Library

  1. Tap the Library.svg icon at the bottom of the screen to open the Library.
  2. Find the books you want to download and tap the download icon Download.svg next to each.

Alternatively, you can download several resources at once using the Select option.

  1. Open the Library
  2. Tap Select
  3. Tap each resource you want to download
  4. Tap the Panel Menu icon Kebab_Vertical.svg in the resource selection bar at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Tap Download...

Note: You are limited to selecting 100 resources per batch. So, if your Library consists of 100 resources or less, you can download your entire Library by tapping Select, then Select All, and then proceeding with steps 4 and 5 above.

Download from within a resource

  1. With a resource open, tap the screen to display the app controls.
  2. Tap the panel menu icon.

  1. Select Book Info.

  1. Tap the Download button. The Logos mobile app will download and install that resource.

  1. Tap Done to return to your resource.
  2. To uninstall a resource, follow the steps above and tap Uninstall in the Book Info pane.

Downloaded resources are no longer streamed from the cloud and will use up space on your device. The amount of space varies by resource, but is generally minimal when dealing with only a few resources (such as your preferred Bible, commentary, and dictionary).
