Fixing problems with Windows Installer keys for Logos
Problem
You may receive the following errors when attempting to update or reinstall Logos Bible Software:
- "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."
- "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot be continued. To configure or remove existing version of this product, use add/remove program in control panel."
Solution
These errors occur because the Windows Installer did not remove all the Logos entries from your registry or those registries have been corrupted. You can use the Microsoft Fix-it Tool to remove the registry entries that are causing the problem.
Part 1: Backup your Logos Data
If Logos is not yet installed, skip to Part 2.
- Right-click the Logos icon and select "Properties".
- If you do not have Logos on your desktop, right-click the Logos icon on your task bar, and right-click where it says "Logos Bible Software." From there click "Properties".
- Click the "Open File Location" button.
- Move the Data, Documents & Users folders to your Desktop.
- Delete the remaining folders, System, Install, etc..

Part 3: Re-install & Restore your Logos Data
Reinstall Logos from the Installation Guide.
If Logos was not previously installed, skip the steps below and sign in normally.
- Logos may open automatically; if it does, close it.
- Right-click the Logos icon and select "Properties".
- Click the "Open File Location" button.
- Move the Data, Documents & Users folders from your Desktop, to the Logos directory.
- Replace any files if prompted.
- Open Logos & sign in.
